It is humans that matter
Do you have a mobile phone? Do you have access to internet? Most likely.
However, answering to this question 20 years ago would have been way different. It is pretty strange to think how much the world has changed during the last few decades.
Today most of us could probably not even think living a day without mobile phones, pads, Google, Facebook, Instagram etc. Funny, eh? :)
According to latest statistics there will be 3 billion people with internet connection and 2 billion people with smart phones in the end of 2015. Most of them use Google daily - searching for information, products, services. It is crucial for companies to adopt to this and renew themselves. Businesses should have presence where people spend their time.
Some of the biggest and hottest trends in digital marketing are analytics, big data, and search engines. Pretty data-oriented issues, right?
I would like to remind everyone about the human side of these issues: it is always a person behind every screen and gadget and every click online.
That is why In the future B2C (business to consumer) and B2B (business to business) will probably be called simply H2H. Human to Human.
Be nice and respect each other :)

ps. I believe that the next big trend will be "Digital Humanism". I wrote a paper about it earlier this year and presented it in Austria. Please check out my other blog if you are interested in the theme:

This is a really good subject and it is so true that most people can´t left the mobile phone or net or something else and be without them more than a day. I have spend few holidays with my best friend who is really addicted to her cell-phone and for free wifi-connection must be everywhere we go. It was a bit annoying to try to relax and sun bath when someone is fighting with her boyfriend and keep it cool when listening these things. However travelling in USA you must have access to internet with your smartphone because there is not possibility to buy flight tickets anywhere else than online. Technology and marketing has made as vulnerable and we are forced to use net whereever we might go.
VastaaPoistaSatu, thanks for your comments. I totally agree, we should have more quality time without any of these technology devices. Oh one very good advice: never use your cellphone in any meetings. It makes a great difference in the human to human dialogue! :)
